Our survey focused on seeing how aware UCLA students are of current university focused environmental efforts. We surveyed 50 current UCLA students (the majority of which are third years) to investigate awareness of environmental action on campus.
We asked questions such as "true or false: UCLA had a goal of reaching Zero-Waste by 2020" and also asked participants to rate their confidence of recycling on a numerical scale- "I am 100% confident about which items belong in the Composting versus Recycling versus Landfill bins. Through an analysis of our survey results, we came to realize that UCLA students are somewhat informed of campus initiatives regarding the environment, but are significantly less aware of campus organizations advocating for environmental action.
